Vacationing in Italy by Giana Mailand http://www.rowitaly.com There is nowhere else like Italy in the world. It is definitely somewhere you should take a trip to if you love countries that are steeped in history, jam packed full of culture, have wonderful vistas and friendly residents. There are beautiful churches and plazas in Italy that just can~t be found elsewhere. A lot of the earths best museums are also here as well, which is perfect for anyone that adores paintings. In fact everything in Italy is exquisite; from the lush countryside to the towering mountains and clean beaches. What is there to see in Italy? There are the acclaimed cities of Rome and Florence for starters. We mustn't forget the remarkable Italian islands of Sicily or Sardinia either. Other amazing places of interest are the Vatican City in Rome and the Republic of San Marino in north central, both of which are countries nestled in the borders of Italy. What's so special about Rome and Florence? Rome is one of the biggest tourist traps in Italy. Most people go there to wander through the magical, atmospheric ruins of the Roman Empire that flourished here just 2000 years previous. Florence is just as inspiring as Rome when it comes to Italy. Its inspirational and breathtaking vistas have made it the home of some of the most celebrated artists that ever walked this earth, and when you go there it's easy to see why. Small, traditional towns are dotted all over country and you will always receive a warm welcome from their inhabitants. You must not leave Italy without taking a gondola trip through the myriad of canals in Venice; it~s a sensation that is second to none. The things that you see are almost unbelievable to the human eye. Never forget to get away from the tourist traps of Italy either. Either go it alone or find a day trip that will take you to areas that most tourists never see. Here you can wander through streets and plazas at your own leisure. What about the food and drink? Meals are exquisite in Italy and really get your taste buds going with their richness. You can visit vineyards in Florence for an afternoon of wine tasting to experience just some of the delicious wines of Italy too. Without a doubt, you have to go to Italy to really value the place and its people. You can visit some wonderful places in the world, but Italy is unlike any other you will ever experience. |
